    On a weil McLain 368st oil fired boiler, what do they use to seal the burner housing to the boiler? Thanks tom

    your oil company can get you the proper gasket it is similar to paper but is not paper

    The fire box was replaced and sealer in the box was like a putty, but it was hard, what else can i use. tom

    the 66/68 series chamber kits come with what looks like brown putty in 1/4 inch strips ---we call it dogsh%^ i use a 1/4 ceramic silica rope found in any good heating supply house --and either use a spray adhesive or a high temp silicone to hold it in the sealing groove

    Does someone know where i can get,1/4 ceramic silica rope, i tried sidharvey don,t have tried a plumbing house in springfield mass don,t have.

    -its high temperature rope gasket --tell them what you are using it for and they should know or tell them you are looking for , SSC brand part #HTR 470A--1/4" high temp rope 10ft./// honestly if they don't know they are not a heating supply house , maybe they don't like to deal with the general public
