Ask ten people if they would buy a house with an underground oil tank and see what the response is.
One also wonders why real estate listings have a special box just for buried oil tanks.......

Bury the oil tank?
I don't want to do it, but I know of one that got buried.
This was new construction, in an "inspection-free zone."

Yes
if the tank is approved for that use and it was done according to code and manufacturers I&O manual. Anything else is just trouble waiting to happen
