Coloring Antifreeze

in THE MAIN WALL
We use glycol antifreeze that 100% pure and is very clear. I am looking for a way to add color to the antifeeze so I can tell when a each loop is full. It is not a big deal but it is nice when adding it to a existing system. When the red comes that circuit is full. Is food coloring okay or is there something else out there.

    I just installed a closed loop solar hot water system and used Cryo-Tek I purchased from a local supply house. It was red in color. I had to buy 5 gallons. I needed 1 more gallon to fill the system copletely and went to Home Depot and bought a gallon. It was blue. I E-Mailed the Cryo-Tek Company and it was OK to mix the 2 colors. Have a gret day!!!!

    Be careful with solar fluid choices

    especially with evac tubes which can reach very high temperatures. Look for a "HD" fluid with the high temperature range.

    I think Hercules recommends against Cyro-tek for solar use? Keep an eye on the ph of that fluid for signs of breakdown./
