Plateless stapleup insulation ideas (The Youngster)

We refuse to install plateless staple up but one of our GC's has one that wasn't insulated. The space below is conditioned but the room is overheating. No problems with upper rooms.
Does anyone have any bright ideas for insulating above the sheetrock? Really only needs to be minimal. Maybe an R value of 5 or better.

blown in cellulose?
Minimal patching and painting.

Thought about that but how do you protect the proper air gap?0 -
Well
they could loose blow it and just put a few inches on top of the sheet rock. The cellulose would not have to come near the tubing really.
