I have seen pex used for air lines but in all sitution there where air driers and holding tanks and all the compressed air had all moisture removed mostly in automated assemble line equipment ,have also seen it used in smalll labs with no promblems and for many years at that peace and good luck clammy

    has anyone used....

pex for compressed air lines or pex-al-pex... say in a workshop. It is rated for it.. or should I say it is rated 160 73f ...water pressure. I realize blac iron or copper would be better. trying to save some $$$$.

We have used "KITEC" for air lines before in a large warehouse from a big remote compressor and it has held up great.

The pex looks and feels a lot like air brake tubing. I have been using the air brake tube for 20 years to move the water heater while working on the floor. But that is taking many years longer than planed.

didn't Kitec have an air line system

in the works at one point in time? Was it a different tube altogether?
I have seen other plastic airline systems installed in shops recently, with push fittings. Maybe under the Kessler brand?
