    Hi Everyone,Do you have to use a resister on taco zone valves when using a Honeywell CT87K T-stat,(non digital heat only.)
    I'd appreciate any help

  • No, you don't need a resistor.

    The only purpose for the resistor was to prevent the digital display on the old T8400"s and T8775's from blanking out when the Taco valve opened. They also were used with certain oil primaries for the same reason. You don't need it for the CT 87. Just connect the wires, set the dip switches to the setting appropriate for your system.
