Does anyone know of supply house in the Boston area that carries the wax-like crayons used to identify bad traps? (tempsticks?)

    You might look

    at supply houses that sell Formica. They bending of that material they use those crayons. I'm in Utah. so cannot help more.

    Welding Supply Houses

    Igo's in Watertown carries Tempilsticks and there are other welding supply houses near Southie, all over.

    Infrared gun is the way to go it will give you more data to work with. You can buy cheap 30 bucks a SEARS or 80-90 at GRAINGER. Plus you can do a lot more troubleshooting with out burning your fingers.
