there are times with todays super insulated homes that the DHW load exceeds the heat load.

Large tubs, fast fill valves, body sprays are areas to watch.

    heat loss DHWH

    when do a heat loss calculation, do i have to add in or consider additional btus for an indirect heater.

    I don't...

    unless there is a huge hot water demand. A priority relay is usually all that is needed. kpc
