anyone been..
Having issues w/ Gorton main vents not shutting off and leaking/spitting water? I have had a couple of #1 and a #2 that have been leaking on 1 job...replaced then very soon after the call comes that they are having issues w/ water all over the floor....They are installed up on the dry return up and away 8" from the drop back down into the wet return boiler...ty,kpc0 -
Regarding spitting vents
Could it be the wet return is partly blocked and water backing up to vent?? just a thought. Tim0 -
it a good thought,....
I have flushed out the bottom of the boiler a lot as of late...nasty stuff. It could be partially blocked. But there is only a very small part of the system that is wet. I will check...ty0 -
Bingo!
pulled apart the returns this am...it was plugged on the vertical portion of the tee...what a mess. redid them in copper below the waterline. ty0
