I have a customer with a third floor apartment that has constant trouble with air in his panel radiators. The boiler is in the basement, has the pump on the return side, and has an expantion tank upside down in a tee right above the pump. Another guy from our shop purged the snot out of it from the basement and bled the coins on the tops of the rads, and it still gurgles. The only thing I could think was the bladder was bad on the tank, but I checked it and all seems well. The rads are piped supply into the top and return into the bottom, backwards right????? Thanks, Chip

Hot water radiators
No a hot water radiator can be supplied at the top and return from the bottom or supplied and returned from the bottom but never a return on top.
If you only have one zone .........repipe in a air scoop before the cirulator and after the extrol connection. More then one repipe circulators and air scoop on supply .
Also hang the tank down sticking up on a heating pipe acts like a air bank .. Deposits and with draws air with a change in pressure. There was an error rendering this rich post.
