How do you change the anode on Bradford White Combicor?

Just thinking of preventative maintance. My Combicor is 6 years old. How do I check/replace the anode? There is no documentation on how to do this.

Thanks,

Steve

It is attached to the supply piping going into the heater(cold water side)

    Steve...

...I have no hands on experience with Combi-core. However, all other heaters that have anodes have them either with a hex plug on top or combined with the hot outlet. If it is combined, (a combo rod) you will only be able to poke a stiff wire a few inches into the fitting. The anode is suspended below the pipe nipple. Use a pipe wrench to get it out and be sure to put in a combo rod with a longer nipple than came with the heater. It's easier to service later.

    Me too....

For GAWD's sake, Dave and Steve! I was fitted at birth with LEFT HAND THREAD!

    That hurt!

And why oh why did they have to call it an Anode?

    :)
