get out of the boiler room
Like Dan say's.
Looked at a steam boiler replacement yesterday at a country club. This boiler is for heat only. 3 steam zone valves. It is 70* outside and this thing is cycling on and off trying to maintain between 3.5 and 6 lbs of steam. Windows are open and the zone valves are squirting some steam thru and heating the radiators.
Measured the connnected load and the existing boiler is 3x larger than what they need.
Insufficient combustion air, condensate feed tank dumping into the hartford loop above the water line. The existing boiler is about 6-8 years old with leaks between the sections. Should we assume it's not the manufacturers fault here? What a mess.
Do you think there is an opportunity here?
Thanks to Dan for the education!

Not likely.
I'm not sure I could afford to tip the help.
