I have done it both ways. You can leave the old ones if they look ok or put new ones in. Havent had much problem either way.

    boiler push nipples

I have a Utica Starfire III boiler that was a leaker after one year. I replaced with a new block under warranty. I disassembled the old block to get it out of the basement. When I did I found the problem to be a broken push nipple in the lower waterway. It was a 7 section boiler. I would like to salvage the boiler and make it a 4 section. I have never assembled a push nipple boiler before. My question is can the push nipples be used over or should I remove all of them completely and get all new ones.

Vernon, WOW a "push nipple problem". I would say get new-ones. Push-nipples usually are a one-shot deal because the holes they fit-into are not exactly perfect. Its almost like trying to re-use a gasket. You may get lucky, maybe not.

    I could have been lucky...

But I've never had a problem reusing push nipples.
