Take a look at the Weil Mclain Ultra, can be wall mounted and may be a good fit.

    Vitodens

I've had very good success with the Vitodens. The venting requirements may have to be considered, as well as condensate drain. The Vitodens vents with a single 5" or 6" "co-pipe". The unit will also do DHW with an indirect tank and the DHW kit. The unit is extremely quiet, and can do multiple temperatures for zoning.

    Hmmm

Two years old? What happened, and what was the response from NTI?

    NTI

Specifics are important on this one. Why are all 24 'gone bad'? What are the cause(s)? & what response from NTI?

    water condition

water condition and flow rates are the key to keeping the wall hung units in good shape , were they set up with a combustion analyzer ? or just fired from the box , they usually quite after about 2 years if there not set up, they burn out the ignitor and other parts

I can't get into the specifics due to the legal BS, however the flue connectors and collars are rotting off the units

    question

Are those flue connectors the ones with the screws or the welded studs?

The early Trinity's did have a problem with the flue conections. It was a design flaw and NTI gave me free replacement parts. Improper installation and lack of attention will ruin any boiler, not just Trinity's.

NTI is offering the updated, completely redesigned Trinity's. I'am a bit leary to resuse the same product because of all the issues. Has anyone installed them and if so how is the performace and how long have they been on line.
