While looking for a bench radiator for a main entry application; I've been dealing with sticker shock. Any ideas or suggestions where I might find some different sources?

what about....

finding an old window radiator from an old gravity hot water system and put a seat on it? My parents house has 3 or 4 in them. Great for warming up your buns! kpc

I make custom bench seat rads often. I use steel fin tube (Slant-Fin 530 with M1 brackets) and have the GC build the seat according to the specs noted in Hot Tech Topics. The bench seat must have a 2" air slot at the base of the bench and at the top to allow air to circulate. If the spec is not followed, it won't work. Often a Danfoss remote TRV can be installed to allow control over the heat output.

Acclimation

The wood was acclimated for 30 days onsite before the cabinets were made. The interior of the seat can reach 140-150 degrees, so woods should be selected carefully.
