i'm on my second season with one
It does what is advertized and is a simple unit to install. For basic reset and DHW with priority, it performs ok. It does not have the flexibility and bells and whistles that a Tekmar has, but the cost is somewhat lower. The curve is not exactly adjustable, but by tweaking the high, low, and outdoor temp settings, you can kind of dial it in pretty good. As with any outdoor reset control, the comfort is improved and the gas usage is a little reduced. I can't take full advantage of the capabilities since my emitters are fin type baseboards and the boiler is CI. Still, for the investment I made, it was worth it.
Hope this helps.

The AQ475...
is our most basic outside air temp reset system. It varies the boiler run time to meet the demand, based on the outside air temperature. It's easy to wire and set up, and doesn't require any pipe work. We also offer the AQ675 and AQ775, both advanced reset controls. The AQ675 works with a 3-way mixing valve, like our V5013, and uses a "600" series motor and linkage to position the valve, based on outside air temp. It requires some basic piping changes. The most sophisticated unit is the AQ775, which works with a 4-way rotary valve or an injection pump. You can get all the info you need by going to http://hbctechlit.honeywell.com, and typing in the control names. No password required, and no charge. Thanks for using our products!0 -
