Thanks Paul. Are you part of a large corp. or a small one store operation? How do you bankroll your inventory?

I am a small shop, just 2 guys and my wife handling the books. It is because of my wife that we never go past due with any of our suppliers. Ever. We may have been a few days late a few times when we got the shaft. But in general, all bills paid by the 10th. She is always nudging me to buy from the suppliers who give 2%off if paid on time. But many of them are not doing that any more. We can not and do not work for anyone who can not pay us at least every 2 weeks. None of this once a month stuff or 10% withheld until the end of the job. We never ask for money up front but insist on payment when the job is done. It is stressful most of the time.

    Supply Chain

The firm I work for does our own load calc's. We are current with 99 percent of our accounts. We try to use quality products. We purchase very little from HD. [sometimes we purchase lumber or hardware, paint] We have a different supply problem than most. Due to the fact that the midwest is NOT a hot bed of hydronic activity. The res numbers are from 11-1 are 16 replacements, 2 new installs, 1 refit, 27 reinstalls[we have corrected installation defects of other installers], 6 additional units on order.

We would look forward to firm's close or distant. That can and will provide good service. I admit that several firms{not related} in the metro share the same name. We have found that chasing products from whosaler to whosaler is diffacult and time consuming.

Pual if you would like send me an e-mail at mgould2@earthlink.net.
