Maid O'Mist Air Vents

I just had my aging steam boiler replaced and had asked that all the air vents off the steam rads get replaced as well.
I had thought the contractor was going to replace the existing Gorton air vents with new Gorton air vents--I thought that's what he said he would do when he was walking through our system. I admit the contract is a little ambiguous it says "Replace existing Gordon radiator vents." I assumed they would be replaced with Gortons, but it doesn't specify this. He has replaced the ar vents with Maid O' Mist vents. I do note that in some plumbing supply store web searches, the Maid O' Mist vents seem to be cheaper than the equivalent Gortons or Hoffmans, the two brands I am familiar with.
Does anyone have experience with these? I must confess I have never heard of this company. From what I can see, the contractor has done a very nice job promptly and diligently, and so I would rather not try to insist on this if the Maid O' Mist vents are as good or almost as good. Alternately, I might just eat the cost of the Gortons and buy and install the Gortons myself, now or when the Maid O' Mist vents fail the future--(does the quality of the air vents only affect how long they last or does it affect fuel consumption, efficiency etc.) We've operated the system for a day now, and the rads all seem to heat and there doesn't appear to be any noticeable hissing or banging.
