electric water boiler help

in THE MAIN WALL
when i turn on the main water suppy to boiler it keeps putting water into it and it gets to high and the pressure release valve opens and i have to close the main water supply coming into it. it didnt always do this. please help.

    do you know of anything that might be causing this problem. i had to replace some of the main line when i turned the water on again this is what happend.

    whats the pressure gauge read? could be a bad relief valve,bad reducing valve or a bad expansion tank
