I'm doing an area which the slab will not be enough to heat the building due to small area that pex can be put. Can anyone suggest inexpensive supplimental heat. I was looking at fan forced toe-kick units that produce about 10,000btu's for about $250. Anyone have another suggestion?

Andy,
Try a panel radiator and install a two stage thermostat so the panel will only run under extreme conditions. I think $250 is low for any solution, at least you will utilize the radiant as much as possible.
