Sick of seeing threads about Munchkin Problems

Hi Dan & Dave,
I would have been more "responsible" with my spelling if I knew you were watching. Like Lazarus, I am back.
With the greatest affection,

Give it a BREAK!!
Gary, you typed...."I'll make my own decision when I go on the HTP factory bus tour @ Wetstock in RI."
Maybe you should have left it at that?? I think you should take your issues up with your source of supply and not the public forum. There are too many smart people that do business here that simply will not buy into this type of argument.0 -
The TRUTH.........
.... is a real thing. At the same time, it depends on the point of view of the observer. I've watched enough instant replays to know that what I was ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN about was not what it looked like. Give me a different angle and then the REAL TRUTH shows up.
Gary's truth is his real truth as are the opposite opinions given by those who disagree with him. What he did by starting the thread the way he did was to offer us all a chance to judge for ourselves.
Gary's a very picky guy. He found "warts" on some of the MZs he bought that were real and that shouldn't have been there, but that would have been of little note to a lesser installer. Time would have gone by and then the homeowner would have had to deal with the inevitable. Gary did what he thought was right, and I hope that what we did to meet his concerns was right, too.
Gary is proud of his work and wants the products he puts in to compliment it and if the product doesn't meet his standards, he has every right to post his point of view in this open forum.
I called someone who I've known for several years a couple of weeks ago to ask about his Munchkin experience. He's sold MZs and he's sold Munchkins, lots of them.
Are they in the same class? No way, except that they are both "fully condensing, low mass". But for the money, he thinks the Munchkins are good value and not too problematic.
Some general truths?
"One man's meat is another's poison."
"Given enough time, anything that can happen, will"
"You get what you pay for."
My hat is off to HTP for waking up a sleeping market.
My hat is off to Gary for calling it like he sees it. Anybody who is afraid of what Gary said or offended by how he said it ought to stick around for awhile and judge things in the large context of years instead of months, IMHO.
My hat is off to Dan for hosting this place where people can let it hang out.
Hanging out here was one of my life's real pleasures when there was time available for me to do that. Seeing the names of so many of you who I met here and got to know better because of your contributions here reminds me that this place was special and still seems to be.
Very Best Regards,
Pete0
