Boiler size

I calculate a heat loss of 82000 BTU/HR using Slant/Fin software. I am planning to use a boiler with a heat output of 85,500 BTU/HR. The next larger size is 110000 BTU/HR. The system will include a 40 gal DHW tank. I am concerned with short cycling, which boiler output is best. Thanks Paul

Assuming
your boiler output is the "Net" rating, go with the 85,500. You only need that much heat at the design temp, on the coldest night of the year. The rest of the time, the boiler will have plenty of excess capacity to run your indirect.
