First time using Pex
We are relocating a boiler to the garage and are using RTI to reconnect the baseboard heat and the domestic water . We have to run the pex down the garage wall about 15 feet . Is there a good tip to keep the pipes straight ? I might just have to clamp each pipe to each wall stud to do it , but I'm hoping there's an easier way . Thanks in advance .

Ridgid radiant heat tubing
I suggest using Stadler "Fostapex" tubing. This has an aluminum jacket on it so it can take heat and not have the "spaghetti" effect that happens to regular PEX tube.
It stays ridgid yet can still be bent as requirements of the installation dictate. Contact your local supply house for info.

I agree use the pex-al-pex, not only does it look nicer by not sagging but it will not expand as much.
If you have allready bought the pex, try using a 2" PVC pipe and running the pex inside to support it.
Scott
PS: If your doing it, I know it will look good

Yes , it was already bought
And what a time we had finding any pex at all around here . The supply house didn't have any transitions for the pipe coming out of concrete , so I sent my partner to HD for that gray electric tubing 90 , the type used for outdoors - worked like a charm .
The 2 inch PVC sounds like a good idea . I was thinking more along the lines of a track - like some use to attach their wall piping to their nice diamond plate . Is it called Clevis track ? Not sure . But the PVC would work better .
I wonder if Slant Fin would sell pex directly to the installing company ? With the lack of tubing around here and the HQ not too far away , I would give it a try . Now I'm hooked on pex . Thanks Scott , I'll post some pics if it comes out halfway decent .0 -

We were in contact with about 4 supply houses , and only one had what we needed - partially . It's still not a hot selling item over here but I hope that changes . We must've saved close to an hour by not bending any copper to fit the 15 foot chop . We bought a roll of the 1/2 inch size for crawlspace work upstairs - adding a zone of baseboard and not sweating fittings in there is much safer .
That Fostapex sounds like what we need . Would pex-al-pex conform like the Fostapex does ? Thanks Bill0 -
