you must feel makes me sick to my stomach..... I just know that that there is a mighty big hole left in your life right now..... many times we just can't understand and have to ask "why"???? Only God truly knows why he allows the bad things to happen to us, we just need to keep on trusting that he always knows best and loves us so much that he would never allow us to have more than we can bear.....
Keep your faith, trust, and hope alive!!! He's right beside you in this and cares so much for YOU!!!!
Our prayer for you will be for strentgh, wisdom, and courage as you face the many decsions, and heartaches ahead....

Lost our son recently
Dear brothers,
My wife and I recently lost our only child, our beloved son David. He was living and working in Seattle for Bayley Construction as a project engineer at the Alderwood Mall project. He was killed while driving his beloved motorcycle. He was only 23. Please keep my wife and I and David's friends in your prayers. It is going to be a rough go I'm afraid. I know from past posts that there is a tremendous amount of spiritual people on the Wall. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for strength in the coming months.
Thank you for your support. And as Dan says, "Hug your kids," because you never know.
Blessings to you and yours,
Rocky0 -

My family and I...
...will pray for you, Rocky. Words cannot express my sympathy or your grief. Be strong, and take solace in knowing that your son is in a much better place now. God truly works in mysterious ways. Be strong, and find comfort in your faith.

May God Give You Peace
Rocky , You and your family will be in our prayers. It is a terribly awful hollow feeling with that loved one missing. My Dad died suddenly two weeks ago today. The power of prayer is a powerful thing and has helped my family immensely. Hold those precious memories of your son close to your heart and look back at them and smile. God Bless You.
P.S. I always gave my big mountain of a Dad a hug everytime I saw him. No Regrets.0 -
Sorry for your loss

I can't imagine...
I read once that people are afraid they don't know what to say to families in the midst of tragedy... so out of fear they simply stay away. Funny thing is that years later the family usually won't remember what you said; (if you said anything at all) they will just remember that you were there.
I pray that you will find strength in the God of all comfort. He knows what it's like to have a Son die... Don't let well meaning people tell you God caused this tragedy for some greater purpose. That all too common type of thinking causes many people to lose faith in God's goodness and wisdom.
The Bible does promise He will "work all things together for good to those that love him". (make lemonade when life gives you lemons) But if He actually orchestrated all events on this planet, He wouldn't have to work anything for good, it would all just naturally BE good. (garden of Eden) Free will, sin, and just plain accidents are a sad fact of planet earth. You might find comfort in the Psalms of David in the Bible. God bless you and your family... Kevin

I have had just a glimpse of your pain
My son Andrew was in an accident when he was 17. All we knew during the one hour drive to the hospital was that one of the boys in the vehicle was dead and the other was critical. We didn't know who. In that hour, I drove with the gut wrenching fear that our son was dead on one hand and the hope that he was still alive on the other.
There are no words that I can give you other than what I experienced during that drive. Simply put, I prayed and prayed, over and over that if it was our son who was gone, that I would be given the strength to let him go. The peace that I felt before we even got to the hospital defied all logic or understanding but it was definitely there.
A few years ago our pastors wife and firstborn daughter were killed in an accident a week before Christmas. I'll never forget what his wife's father said to me after the funeral. I asked him how he was doing and he replied with tears streaming down his face, "It will be OK, we can give them back. We would have liked to have them a little longer but they belonged to Jesus in the first place".
When you can't pray, can't go on, when you're angry at God, when you feel life isn't worth anything anymore remember this verse.
Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not even know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us before God with groans that words cannot express.
You will be given strength sufficient for each new day.
It will come from many different people or things and from many different directions but it will always be there.
God is ever faithful to those who love Him.
You're on the top of my A list.0 -

Don't go it alone
Rocky,
Though I will never understand how you feel, I feel the pain and sadness in my bones. It's great that you've come here to share your situation and ask for help. Keep on doing this, keep on telling your story.
Find people who know how to listen and keep on talking about your feelings. It's a never ending road, and things will continue to change.
may you find peace in this tragic moment

I Never met a guy named Rocky who wasn't a tough SOB
YOU WILL GET THRU this. My heart bleeds for you pal. Life can be so damned cruel. Having lost several close family members and some very close friends I have an iota of your grief. They always say there is nothing worse than losing a child and I'm sure its true. Just do the best you can Pal, you and the wife will need eachother more than ever. Hang in and don't let anyone tell you EVER!!!!!!to "get over it.." or any bull like that. Let it ourt when you need to. Talk to strangers...tell then about your wonderful son. Focus on the great memories and maybe you can do something in his honor, i.e., sponsor a little league team he played for or setr up a scholarship in his name. Something will come to mind and you will do it. In the mean time, you are in my prayers. If you need someone to talk to who has been through a lot of pain, I'm always here. Mad Dog
