I've been e-mailing back and forth with Steve Rockwell who is a Wall lurker regarding the features and benefits of this boiler vs. that boiler. I directed him to the Viessmann web site as well as Buderus' and I'm sure he's looked at others as well.
Anyway, He e-mailed me a couple days ago and said he had reached a saturation point as far as learning about his options. Mind you, we have been corresponding off and on for a couple years. During that time we discussed the merits of upgrading the building envelope and he has done that very well from what I can see. He presently has a 340,000 btu atmospheric in his home and the calculated heat load is now 105,000 at design. We are close to meeting face to face for the first time and looking over his existing installation. I am now officially off the subject..........which was "saturation point"
I e-mailed him back last night with this:
Definition;
HYDRONICAL SATURATION: "A widely held theory that a human can attain a state whereby hydronic overload occurs. This supposed malady is alledged to be responsible for outrageuos behavior, including but not limited to, constant vigils at the Wall, drooling and panting whilst looking at German boilers and specifications, a sudden overwhelming feeling that a titanium heat exchanger is of more worth than one's mother-in-law, tremors and weakness of the knees whenever a particular shade of blue is seen and sending announcement cards to friends and relatives whenever Viessmann introduces a new product."
"Actions and activities such as listed above are viewed by some as "abnormal" behavior. Those of us who are hydronically enlightened however, realize that this behavior is completely normal. In fact, we feel real and deep sympathy for those who have not grasped the full meaing of true comfort. One can only hope and pray that someday, all the unwashed masses will reach the higher levels of hydronic consiousness presently held by so few."

What Steve didn't tell you...
is that next to his definition was a picture of me, for illustrative purposes. It is currently being folded into WebMD.com to help others with my affliction.0
