    The Wall mourns

I am continually impressed and touched by the words of strength and wisdom from Wallies during difficult times. If I could bottle every message and use them as an inspiration to others, like Glenn and his family, I would surely do it. As it is, I shall boomark this and reflect on the kind insights.

Once again, Glenn, the Hall family prays for your grandmother.

    Glenn

We have been keeping you and your family in our prayers since you posted. Giving up someone you love is never easy, something is wrong if it is.

At the risk of sounding "preachy" (I'll leave that to Pastor Timmie) let me share the words that follow with you. They are from the catechism that we use in our church. It was written in the 1500's by a couple 20 something kids from Germany who were smart beyond their years. I have found immense healing during trying times in this question and answer.

What is your only comfort in life and in death?

That I am not my own, but belong, both body and soul, in life and in death, to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his own precious blood, and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil.

He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven: in fact all things must work together for my salvation.

Because I belong to Him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life and makes me willing and ready from now on to live for Him.

    PS:
Sorry if this offends some, but this is what makes the Wall a special, very different place.

Pat, I hope you see this.

First, PLEASE don't appologize for treading on this thread. If my situation has allowed you to relieve your feelings and sadness than I'm glad to have posted. The worst thing you can do is keep your felings of sadness bottled up so please release them, whether it be here or elsewhere. As you can see from this thread, there are many kind, caring and generous people here that are more than willing to listen and talk to you about your situation and feelings. Please let it out, you will feel much better. I know I do just by asking for and recieving prayers from all my friends here on The Wall.

Also, please allow me to express my condolences on the passing of your mother. It might help you to keep in mind that with the pain she was in here on earth, now that she is gone her pain and suffering is gone and she's in a much better and happier place. So in conjunction with being sad that she's gone, remember to celebrate her new life and freedom form the pain too.

Thank you for taking a monent to express your kind thoughts and prayers. They are helpfull. I know we did the right thing , and helped her get to her new home.

I will keep you in my thoughts, and if you want to talk more, feel free to e-mail me at glennhvacman@comcast.net

    Thank you Gary.

Yes it was very hard to watch the pacemaker be turned off, and even harder to watch her hang on for another week. But she is much better off.

    Thank you for your prayers.

    Jerry, you are so right.

We all talked to her and frequently got a responce of some kind. We told her so many times that we wanted her pain and suffering to end, and that she had our blessing to let go when she was ready.

When the 24th comes, we will celebrate Tabatha's 14th birthday, as well as remember the 89 birthdays that Grandma celebrated, and the of those we celebrated with her.

Mom's doing better now. She had accepted her impending passing in the last couple of days, and now is happy for her now that the pain ans suffering is over.

Thank you for the kind offer. I think we will be o.k. now, althought I will need to keep an eye on my wife, as I know she was holding back to be strong for the rest of us.

Thank you for you kind thoughts and words. You are obviously a special, kind and caring person. Bless you.

    Mad Dog,

I think I was explaining mainly to run the situation mainly to run it thru my mind a few times to acceptwhat we were about to do.

Thank you for the prayers. She has been called home now to a better, more peacefull, pain free place, and has been reunited with her husband and brother and sisters.

P.S. Tell your Mom to keep up the fight. I hope she is still winning the battle. I will keep you and her in my thoughts.

for your kind thoughts and words. I know we did the right thing, by helping her to achieve peace and be freed from the pain.

You are so right, sand I can't even expain what a blessing it was to have this wonderfull and kind person in our lives. If we could all live our lives like she lived hers, the world would be a much better place.

    Thank you again.
