    Onix

is by far the most flexible radiant condiut out there. It will cost you about 7-10° warmer supply temperature than pex due to the thickness and insulative qualities of the thicker walled material.

There may be some extruded plates in the works made specfically for that size. Jamming Onix into the current versions is not a good idea, as it runs closer to 5/8" OD. Earlier Entran versions would fit plates fairly well. It's gotten chubby as the improvements have been made :)

Thin aluminum plates may work, but the ticking noise, common with thin plates below the floor, would need to be addressed. Thin plates tend to squirm a bit as the get hot and cool.

Last I checked Onix list is about 1.50 per foot. Add extruded plates and it gets pretty pricey :)

Thanks for straightening that detail out for me. Now I understand Onix fron Pex. My open ceiling will allow me to use the pex I feel with no real prblems. I also don't want to sacrifice the btus by not using the plates. Thanks again. I'll let you know how I make out when I'm done.

    Now there's a

loaded question, if ever there was one. Temperature, pressure, enviroment are part of the answer.

Depends on who made the tube and what they put in the mix. Or didn't include in the mix :) the quality of the raw material.

As far a PAP, some say butt weld, some say lap is better. 2 or 4 mil aluminum? Made in Germany, China, Canada or Mexico? Ask those factories who's method and mak up is better!
