Okay, Since the Invisible Man Bid $2,750

The RPA-WAC (Washington DC Area Chapter) really would love to have these two hydronic soothsayers.

In an effort to throw a big shindig featuring Mr. Bean and Mr. Doran, the RPA-WAC bids $2,800.

We have trade skills in electrical, plumbing, gas, air and water HVAC systems and building construction...design skills in all the above and more plus both of us have had our own businesses on the tools, as wholesalers, agents and in manufacturing...this is a "yours to customize seminar" - your wish is our command! Real world stuff we've learned over the years...do I hear $3500? 35, 35, 35...

    One more time,

The Invisible Man, aka "Chowdahead", is probably still stinging from losing out to the evil empire on the "A-Rod" bidding.

Showing some compassion we should probably let him have this fabulous arrangement.

We, the RPA-WAC (Washington DC Area Chapter), in the spirit of this fine cause and to expose our membership and region to the magic of this dynamic duo BID $3,300.

We of course are hopeful of landing this event.

Of course, we will expect some assistance promoting. We figure you guys can crank up the Blues Mobile, dress like Joliet Jake and Elwood and drive around promoting the big show "One Night Only, Rhythm and Blues Review".

    Again, The RPA-WAC bids $3,300.

Word on the street is that "Chowdahead" already has the Fleet Center booked for this blockbuster event, likely to out draw the Celtics.

    On behalf of the RPA-WAC,

    Time

I have already sent an e-mail to Dan. I posted my bid at precisely 5:59pm EST. I think you will find that the time on the wall is exactly 6 minutes fast.

6pm EST was the suggested time.

Unless it was changed? If this is the case it looks like we need an official decision from Dan the man.

    Suggestion

I will have to talk to "The Bean" before I can commit to this but I would suggest that we may consider doing two functions. Since Riles and Dan foley are in D.C. and Chowdahead it seems is in New England we could work out two dates within a few days of each other so that we still only need to fly back east once. This helps us financially, gives both bidders a fair shake and most importantly, generates more $$$$ for cancer research.
Would each of you agree to donate $3400 if we can pull this off?

    If

You two would like to expeience a day fishing (fly fishing only) on several miles of a pristine trout stream between the two venues, I'll treat. Food, beer and tall tales (tails).

    Sorry I missed the end.

I was out of town. Before I left, I wrote to Chowdahead and told him that I would be away an not able to put in any more bids for him. I also wrote that Tim had called the closing time at 9 PM, and not 6 PM, which was my mistake. I came home this morning to an email from him at 8:59 last night. He wrote, "If 9pm is the cutoff then I raise it $100.00."

So we have a mix-up and I feel lousy about it.

I figure we can either take Tim up on his suggestion, or we can extend the auction another day and have it end on Monday, at a time of Tim and Robert's choosing.

And if it's okay with everyone, I'll also toss my hat in and help out the guys at the seminar.

    Your thoughts?

    Wow

Sorry Dan, I did not see your email so I contributed to the whole mess. My appologies to all.
With Dan in I have to make a motion to let it go a bit more. What a great event this will be! Bean & Holohan working the same event. Talk about running with the big dogs! Lets make the official cut off 9pm EST on Monday the 22nd of March.
    All in favor say aye.

By the way, this would put Chowdahead at $3502.00

    Chowdahead,

being an honorable and overall great guy, has let me off the hook for my mistake. He wrote to say the winner should be the high bid at the announced time, which was 6 PM yesterday.

So that makes RPA-WAC the winner. Congratulation and many thanks to everyone. As Chowdahead says, "It was for good cause and there is only one winner Cindy's walk."

    Well done!

    Well Done

So it looks like me and the Bean will be visiting with the WAC-RPA crew this fall to discuss what ever they request of us. Maybe we can still talk Dan into helping out. It will be a great time indeed. Dan Foley & Riles, give me a call to begin the planning and logistics. Chowdahead, Thanks for your support and for being a good sport. I would be gald to come up to New England for some training if you are interested.

    Hang on.

I am REALLY messing this one up. And I'm sorry.

Here's the situation. Chowdahead's in at 1:43 PM with a bid of $3,401. Dan Foley's bid of a buck more is showing a time of 6:05. Whether or not that's the correct time, I have to go with the time stamp that's on the Wall.

Again, I'm feeling really dopey about all of this, but I've got to go with Chowdahead.

My heart's in the right place; I'm just traveling too much. Sorry guys.

    Tim,

I sincerely apologize for the mix-up. I shouldn't have had this end while I was traveling. Sorry.

    THREE AMIGOS

    Dan:

With five kids, I have to go on occasional hiatus from "The Wall". Sorry I missed the exciting deadline.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHOWDAHEAD. Living up to the name, it will truly be BEANTOWN!

Special thanks to Tim Doran & Robert Bean for their very generous offer. As always, THANKS to "The Wall" and founder Dan Holohan for his constant giving back to the industry and charitable causes.

Certainly, if the THREE AMIGOS (Bean, Doran & Holohan) want to do a seminar for the RPA-WAC with the fee going to CINDY's WALK. We, RPA-WAC would pay $4,000 to $5,000 to hold such an event.

Again, the RPA-WAC would pay more for the second seminar especially including Dan H. since Chowdahead won the first.

If this is a possibility, we would also try to work with Chowdahead to make it one trip East for Tim & Robert.

    Cindy's walk wins big

I am up for two dates for sure but I will have to speak with Robert on Monday to be sure he can swing it. He is just getting home after a few days on the road so I won't call him tonight. If we work together I am sure that we can pull this off and the net result is that Cindy's walk wins big.

    double up?

    Dan:

You did not do bad, especially if the 2 high bidders, Da Bean and Mr. Doran do both.

The big winner is cancer research with twice as much money for the cause! If it works out it will surely put Cindy's Walk well over $20K not including the auctions and 50/50s at WetStock IV.

    Keep it coming!

2 Shows and a special guest

It looks like one show will be in New England in the early fall. Details will come out soon. The second show will be for the WAC-RPA. I have been talking to Riles and we will work this out and then post the details. He has offered to make a very nice donation to Cindy's Walk as well.

In addition to two shows and Dan's offer to help out we have an additional special guest. John Barba has offered to help raise money for this worthy cause and he will be joining us at each event time and schedules permitting. With all this it looks as though we may want to book two days in each location. Get your tickets early!

    ISH-NA

would be a good time to try to schedule both seminars. Of course, Chowdahead has first priority.

This way we can catch the seminars when you guys are probably already planning to come East.

We, RPA-WAC (Washington DC Area Chapter), look forward to working out the date.

As mentioned in my previous post, The Big Three (Bean, Doran & Holohan) will warrant us kicking in more for Cindy's Walk.

    Let's iron out the logistics.

    THANKs for your continued generosity.

With The Bean already scheduled with the RPA-WAC for April 21st & 22nd. We are going to be spoiled.

    Call the neighbors,

    wake the kids.

    This is "Off the Hook".

Two dates at each location might make some sense. Again, it is your schedules.

We want to mirror what you plan for Beantown w/Chowdahead.

How can these four minds share the stage?

This event will certainly require a serious primary secondary piping diagram. For calculation sake, who has the highest Cv?

This clearly will be a must see.

    Details to follow.
