heated shower and liner question

Member Posts: 20
I am using transfer plates with tubing in the walls and floor. The granit installer indicated he was using a liner for the floor and wanted to use tarpaper on the walls behind the cement board to protect against moisture.Should i be concerned with the use of tarpaper?Have any of you guys seen how the showers are constructed? Also do you think i need to be concerned with the liner and the heated floor?
thanks

no to the tarpaper...
it might be ok...but why chance it. 6mil poly would be better on the walls. If you are doing cement board you should be fine. As far as the floor liner goes if its the sheet PVC it should hold up fine to the temps that you will run in it, I have seen it many a time....kpc
