New main vents leaking water?

Hi guys,

We did a steam swap a few weeks ago. I noticed that one of the two main vents (#77) are coated with a rusty redidue, and water stains on the boiler right below it. The pressure is set at the minimum, and we're a good 12" from the 90 drop to the boiler return, up on a 3/4" x 6" nip/coup. I've never seen this, can the vent be bad?

The vent may be shot now

you don't have dry enough steam, gary and the returns could be clogged. I don't put new main vents in until I clean the hell outta the boiler and the returns OR you will beat the crap outta even the best of vents the Gorton. Mad Dog
