comparison of hoffman 75's to gorton

I have a 2 pipe steam system which uses a hoffman 4a and a Hoffman wr as main relief valves. The system takes 25 minutes to fill the mains which are each 6 inch by 110 feet. After reading Dan's comments in his book, and after visiting Hoffman's web site, I removed both valves, and steam came out of the relief valves 8 inches after ten minutes. I am thinking of Hoffman 75's, but
Gorton also makes a #1 and a #2 valve. The system is a Broomell with the condensing radiator still in place but disconnected from the system and the chimney. The sytem runs on 4-8 ozs. of pressure. One unfortunate fact...the relief valves: 1. Have a thin coating of oil on them(possibly because I just unclogged a wet return which had been clogged for many years, and 2. The placement on the main return is only 6 inches from the end of the return. Also, no vents at the end of the two supply mains, but this is a two pipe instead of a one pipe system. Would anyone have thoughts on the best valve, number of valves needed, and whether the oil is from the fixed return or the boiler needs cleaning somehow.

Gorton #2 is the best for that system
and if you have two 6-inch, 110-feet-long steam mains it must be a pretty big system!
In order to vent each of these mains properly, use four Gorton #2 vents after the last radiator takeoff from each main. Vent the dry returns with at least two Gorton #2 vents- or reconnect the condensing radiator and chimney vent line.
