I was wondering when they would

get around to spitting data out of a heating system like that given all the other small boxes like game consoles and routers that have ethernet connections to get at data and update firmware etc.

To clarify my question, what port on your pc does the cable connect to: ethernet, serial, usb?

As a computer technical person, I would design the system as an ethernet node or at least allow a bridge to one. This would allow remote monitoring and configuration over the internet if the house was equipped with a broadband router set up to allow internet sharing in the house. I think refrigerators and and other high end appliances are sometimes equipped this way.

    DHW

I was wondering what happens on a cold start to the DHW/Buffer tank? Wouldn't you lose temperature out of it for awhile? What would happen if you were showering at the same time? Would it always be hot enough anyways? Thanks.

    The tank...

is maintained at 140 degress F, and the DHW is prioritized. We have yet to run out of hot water under normal circumstances, but are used to living with limited hot water availability (wall hung tankless syndrome).

When the tank serves dual purpose, it will still be maintained at 140 degrees even when there is a space heating call. As I said, I've not work ALL the bugs out of my configuration.
