Pretty broad question
But here's a start:
Definition of "venturi" - a smoothly tapered restriction in a tube that reduces fluid pressure at the restriction.
(Source: Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration Dictionary, 2nd Edition, Tim Zurick)
I could teach a four hour course on the Venturi theory, the math associated with it, and it's HVAC applications.
Do you have a more specific question?

are venturi tee's anything like monoflow tee's?is it the same type of system?0 -
monoflow tee's & venturi tee's...
It is my assupmtion from looking at them under a few different applications that:
Monoflow Tee -- is to be used in a one direction flow ( of anything)with the taking of a portion of the one direction flow to flow to another direction
Venturi Tee -- is to be used in an application where two flow combine into one flow in the same direction
I hope this helps
