Water Heaters & Hot Water Heat

Options
I recall reading an article about utilizing a domestic hot water heater in lieu of a traditional hot water boiler for hot water radiant heating. Could you please refresh my memory and point me in the direction of such articles.

I have an existing house undergoing renovation, which includes replacement of a steam boiler and the addition of air conditioning. I was considering utilizing an extremely high efficient water heater to provide 140 degree water for space heat. Again, any articles that you are aware of would be greatly appreciated.

    Code

One issue that has come up is the code requirements for heating appliances. Does the code where you are require heating appliances be ASME certified?

We install ASME certified accessories above 200,000 Btuh. Typically we install the AO Smith Cyclone BTH-199 with individual expansion tanks to stay away from ASME ratings.
