Hard to know which "new" products to trust. We all have memories of lifetime warrantys and "bad batches" of tube runs.

I don't have a good answer to your questions. Who to trust that the product is suitable for long term applications.

I'm still of the opinion a third party testing facility should test and rate various radiant components. Like the IBR ratings on boilers and baseboard.

I feel the RPA could be a vechicle for this. Unless of course, you are comfortable with the manufactures testing :)

    and offers

This sweet S.F.I. fitting and tool one nice, simple, swivel fitting fits all types of pex. Also a new pex where the O2 barrier is sandwiched in the middle of two pex layers.

    What's next? A condensing boiler?

    Pex-Al-Pex

I recently viewed a photo a contractor sent me of some Barrier pex tube from Wirsbo that had been installed over a dozen years ago. At that time Wirsbo had laminated the barrier on the tube with a different process and it had begun to delaminate over the course of years. Are these laminating methods tried and true for Pex-Al-Pex? I know as our industry heats up,(pun intended) Tubing companies are going to come out of the woodwork.
