Desgin temps for Baltimore/DC area

What should be the inside design temp for the Baltimore/Washington Area. My address is Bowie, Maryland 20715?

In other words, if it is 100 degrees outside, what is a resonable expectation of what I should be able to set the thermastat too, without the AC system running all the time?

Thanks for any input!

Tom

    Design temps

ASHRAE design conditions for Baltimore (BWI Airport):

    Mean Extreme 97* F db/ 78* wb

    .4% 93*F db/ 75* wb

    1% 91*F db/ 74* wb

I usually design for a 20* delta T (outdoor db/ indoor db). If I have a customer that insists on a larger delta T (i.e. 72*F inside when 100*F outside), I will insist on two speed equipment for humidity control on milder days. The equipment will run on low speed most of the time. Hope this helps. -DF

    Temp diff

Tom, Most of the time that its a 20 degree diff for the ac side of the system, But it can also be a individual thing.
If you want it to feel like you can hang meat from the
ceiling it can be done. But it will be hard to get someone to sign off on it.If your system is to big it will not
dehumidify properly.Look to the left on find a contactor
there are a lot of pros in your area ,Give them a call they will help you make the right decision. don
