Remote monitoring of burner lockout/alarm. Carlin 70200. Indicator light? WiFi monitor?
I have a Carlin 70200 control. I want to set up a monitor for the alarm contacts.
My simplest idea was to mount my thermostat on a blank cover on a 2 gang box, and also mount an LED in the cover, wired so it lights at when the alarm contacts close.
I've also considered that some sort of WiFi connected monitor would be helpful so I could know of a lockout condition from anywhere.
Anyone set something up like either of my ideas?
For context, I spend 12-16 hours away from home often, and it is a lot easier to talk someone through an issue at home if I know whats happening. I have an indicator on my boiler for call for heat, and I have an indicator on my well pump switch to show contacts made up. I would like to avoid a lockout being discovered only after all the heat has been taken out of the boiler and the house is cold!
