Steam Boiler Sludge

Open the boiler drain on the Peerless Steam boiler and got a good amount of black sludge. This answered my yesterday question about why is the top of the site glass all gunked up.

How frequently do I want to use the boiler drain to get the sludge out?

Also used the drain at the bottom of the Hartford Loop.
