Zone control

Options

What is the benefit of the taco zone controllers on hydronic heating? I've seen a bunch of buildings with zone valves wired directly in the boiler room. Is there more of a benefit besides easier wiring?

mostly more flexibility — and simpler wiring (if it's done right in the first place, of course). As well as some other control options (DHW override, for instance).
