Update on Peerless 63 Series Availability?

Any new news on the Peerless 63 availability? Back in 2025 we found out that they are not longer available assembled and sold as knocked-down only.

I have a Peerless G-461-SP-1. History says these were manufactured before or around 1984 before Peerless changed hands. It was renamed as the 61 series, with mine being the equivalent of the 61-04. Mine was installed in 1986…..so 40 years old.

Runs like a top with zero issues. Stays squeaky clean and I have no complaints other than it being 50% oversized. The Peerless 63-03L would fit my EDR perfectly (230sq-ft….ish).

That said I've been saving up money because I'm sure my boiler's life is much closer to the end than it is the beginning. I plan to run this boiler until it shows signs of end-of-life which could be next year or it could be in 20 years, never know.

I was hoping to go with the Peerless 63-03L because I trust that boiler series and it has a good reputation, plus all the controls are on the same side which would make the install easier.

Does anyone know if Peerless has any plans to phase out the 63-Series over time? They sell the 63-x now which is a re-badged Burnham Steam Max. Thoughts?

Hopefully your old boiler will stay leak free. I don't know what Peerless is up to and I just dislike anything with the Burnham name on it. But that is just me. As of now Peerless has the #63 & #63x on their web site. Too many bad experiences with Burnham mostly in the commercial line. They (Burnham) have the Independence that they continue to sell even though it has a bad track record and that irks me to no end although they have the Steam Max which everyone says is a great boiler

And not just the true IN line, but how many rebadges?

Weird… I was told that Peerless knockdowns were no longer available. Maybe that was just a specific dealer's option, but it's one of the reasons I was considering going with a Burnham SteamMax to replace my 43 year old Peerless. There's just no way a fully assembled steam boiler's going to make it into my basement without doing serious damage to the boiler and my house.
