Aluminum, copper , Microchannel or standard fin tube

Is microchannel still used? Still in the failure mode like it was a few years back? Any MFGs sticking with copper fin tube? I thought Goodman was

Lately, I've been installing tube and fin splits with microchannel evaporators, exclusively. (The evaporators are pretty neat, they bend a slab to make a vee coil.) Packages units are mostly microchannel, but not exclusively.

Never had much trouble with leaks, nothing in the last few years.

I've wondered what the HVAC forums were on about that every unit leaks. I think I have warrantied 3 or 4 leaky evaporators in the past 6 years or so on a wholesale level.

We sell it all. Carrier, ICP, Mitsubishi, Bryant, Lennox, Trane, Daikon (heh heh heh), even York (but not lately). That's roughly in order. Aaon, Captive Aire, Greenheck, Ruud MAUs.

Aaon is the only one I know that's for sure built here (well, Oklahoma), I've been to the factory for training.
