Boiler Gas valve buzzing

Had issue with the old gas valve where the would buzz when the boiler was on. I had it replaced last year, the other gas valve was 20 years old. New gas valve is doing the same thing.

They came out and looked at it, but it wasn't making the buzzing sound, doesn't make it every time boiler is on.

They couldn't find anything wrong. The guy said it's my Nest thermostat.

Has anyone ever heard of this or seen it?

The Nest thermostat has been used for about 3 years, now 2 different gas valves had the same issue.

EDIT: Its a 2 wire boiler system With W and R wires.

I used and external power supply to power the Nest device.

Could be a loose connection somewhere. Could be the t-stat isn't charging sufficiently if it doesn't have a dedicated common wire. Could be a number of other things.

buzzing on a relay or valve? My first check is voltage. If that's low — could be any number of things. Too much draw somewhere, bad connection, inadequate transformer for application… and on and on.
