    SSince I am still doing piping my idea was to install another "tee" and put a proper one in. Hey in for a penny in for a pound!

    just need a stem type thermometer. set up the fittings so the stem is near/in the flow but clears the other side of the pipe. You can get them with different length stems.

    PT "Petes" plugs are super handy, easy to use, inexpensive, unbreakable. Use pressure or temperature gauges in them, of whatever quality you want.

    You use the same gauge for all the readings so gauge to gauge accuracy is not an issue.

    Very common on balance valves and any engineered system. Balancing contractors and engineers like them for adjusting, checking and troubleshooting systems.

    Shove this needle adapter in like inflating a basketball. 1/4" fip for a gauge
