Is this steam or hot water? And — most important — have you checked to ensure that the possible replacement boiler is the correct size for your house and your system? It's a simple check — for steam, what is the power capacity (EDR) of the installed radiation; for a house a simple heat loss calculation.

Don't assume that the existing boiler is the right size…

If i might add the Ek-1 frontier can be fired at 4 different firing rates. Great option if you're planning on renovating or adding square footage. Also, the savings in the long run can't be beat. Especially if your making hot water with our storage tank and plate heat exchanger.

If you want to message me i can possibly help with the sizing.

    My 2 cents.

    EK-1 Frontier no question. That's not a Buderus model. G115 or G215 (you don't need a G215).
