When the compressor stops, you stop pulling gas from the evaporator, so it's going to essentially be full the next time it starts, if not overfull.
Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

- Non-Bleed (Hard Shut-Off) TXVs: Most modern air conditioning and refrigeration TXVs are non-bleed. When the system shuts down, the superheat drops to zero, and the valve's spring forces it to close tightly. These valves do not allow pressures to equalize during the off-cycle, meaning the compressor must start against a significant pressure difference. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Bleed-Port TXVs: Some valves feature a small bleed port (or a notched seat) that allows refrigerant to slowly bypass the valve. This gradual leak equalizes the system's high and low side pressures during the off-cycle, reducing the load on the compressor at startup. [1, 2]
Systems utilizing a non-bleed TXV and a standard PSC motor often require a Hard Start Kit to help the compressor overcome the un-equalized pressure difference at startup. [1, 2]

This is an AI thing but true. Prevents liquid migration to help keep the compressor from slugging on start-up. Of course there are also accumulators and solenoid valves to help prevent this.

We are way past this topic. this was resolved last summer. The reason for the renewed interest is because @mojones469's comment from this morning
Since this was the first post from this new member, there may be something suspect about it. perhaps it is AI bots posting and seeing if there is any response. We have asked the @HeatingHelp.com admins to look into this.

Since @EdTheHeaterMan said his original issue was resolved, I'm going to close the thread. -Andrew
