"Fine Thread" Brass (actual TPI)?

For those of you who have (or, at least had) some (@Jamie Hall? @Duckbutter?), hopefully you can clarify something for me. Did it have (its own) standard TPI? I know its usage was a regional fad(?), but I would hope that the TPI was the same wherever it was used. If so, any idea what it is?
