question on 608 test

Options

I took 608 test this morning. The local supply house that has my account did it. At the start of the test he handed me the pressure / temp chart. . This piece of paper did not have ashrae or GWP. Of course this made the test more challenging. For those of you have recently taken the exam - did your pressure and temp chart have the GWP & ashrae chart? Yes there were a few questions where I needed that chart and took a guess.

it should just have pressure and temp, it is just for answering the questions about saturation points.

there are questions about which refrigerant has a higher gwp or which is being phased out because of its gwp, but like all the different dates, you just need to know it or get enough of the easier ones right

in my test it was comparing 3 of one refrig type other 3 types. IF I had that other chart it would have been easier to figure out. And Wound up making a wild guess.

Yes there were one or two questions on GWP.

And another question on what a certain refrig was on flammability. And one on type- like hfc. Without that chart being memorized I had to guess.

So I am wondering if anyone who recently took the test had a different sheet for each refrigerant which would make the test easier to pass

i don't think you're supposed to have that, just temp and pressure, the rest you're supposed to know

When I took that test your certificate number was your social security number. Go figure! You know that card that clearly states "not for identification purposes".

There were no charts that stated GWP back then. I think that is because back in the day every refrigerant GWP was off the charts. But at that point in time we were just discovering fossil fuels and using getting Ice Deliveries by horse drawn carts.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

except for flammability it’s all worthless.
    Just like 608!
