Bock 32E high water temp

I have a Bock 32E with a Carlin ez1 burner and a Carlin ez temp 9000 Aqua stat. Aquastat is set to 120 degrees and this morning the water temperature at the faucet was 189 degrees. Is this most likely the sensor in the well or an issue with the digital aquastat itself?

Without being there to see its difficult to say.
Why is there no tempering valve on this heater?

It all comes as one. There is a revision. Make sure you specify for the 32E.
