Can anyone suggest a competent engineer the client can contact to survey and provide condition report and recommendations on a large steam heating system in the Washington DC area?

Problems include very hot condensate, water hammer, and poor vacuum performance.

When you say “engineer”, are you referring to a PE, or a DC licensed steam engineer, or steam expert?

I’d recommend that you contact Dan Foley at Foley Mechanical in Lorton or Frank “Steamhead” Wilsey at All Steamed Up in Baltimore.

Thanks for the quick response. The customer just specified ENGINEER. I expect they would want to see qualifications first.

Thanks, I will contact them both.
