CastRads radiator install

Just installed a small CastRads radiator for a friend. Really like the fit and finish of the radiator and valves. It’s a beauty!

Install was straightforward; the compression ring / nut made it simple to fit copper supply and return lines. The natural brass sleeve and escutcheons are nice finishing details.

@Nick_Castrads - my only question relates to the valve shutoff/bleeder tool. Is the notch a bonus bottle opener in support of the “a job well done” drink? 🍺 😆

You did a great job and you are probably correct on the vent valve tool.

are the rest of the bath room fixtures brass? If not, are there Chrome fittings for that radiator?

Caught ya, Playing tiddlywinks on the job…. You left a black one on the floor and now there is photographic evidence

Ed, the fittings do match the rest of the bathroom but I wasn’t part of that process. The HO worked with @Nick_Castrads to select the radiator and finishes as the final element of small bathroom addition to a Victorian home. The HO did the design and majority of the work on the addition; layout is very good and looks like always been there.

Haha, @EdTheHeaterMan thank for finding that tiddlywink (flat foam). I believe it was inside the decorative brass cap to the return side shutoff valve. I’ll let the HO know to save it if it’s important.

@PC7060 that's a first class installation! Looks superb. And yes you're absolutely right - bleeder key, the 8mm hex allows you to adjust the lockshield valve (which incidentally is where that black rubber disc belongs), and finally a bottle opener to crack open a cold one at the end of the job!
